PAEROA TO TURUA
NEW BUS TIMETABLE THREE DAYS EACH WEEK Suggestions made by the Paeroa Chamber of Commerce to the New Zealand Railways Road Services, for a revised time-table for the buses running between Paeroa and Thames have been favourably received. At the August meeting of the chamber the secretary, Mr J. H. Bartlett, told the meeting that he had been advised that a new time-table would be instituted. The runs were to be between Thames and Paeroa through Turua, and the service would be available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The time-table was to be: Leave Thames 9 a-m., arrive Paeroa 9.50 a.m. (approx.); leave Paeroa 10 a.m., arrive Thames 10.50 a.m. (approx.); leave Thames 2.0 p.m., arrive Paeroa 2.50 p.m. (approx.); leave Paeroa 4 p.m., arrive Thames 4.50 p.m. (approx.). On Fridays an additional bus would leave Thames at 6 p.m. and arrive at Paeroa about 6.50 p.m. It would return to Thames at 10.30 p.m, The meeting decided to write to the Road Services thanking it for the consideration given the chamber’s requests, and to ask whether the route of the new run could include Kerepeehi.
