HUNT BALL
DECORATIONS A FEATURE BUG NIGHT AT MARAMARUA A grand hunt ball in the Maramarua Hall concluded the opening of the Maramarua Hunt Club season recently. The hall was y gaily decorated with coloured lights and effective greenery. The stage represented a brush jump while imitation horses and riders were shown going over. The walls were decorated with pictures to indicate various stages of the day’s fun.
Dance music was provided by Harrison’s Orchestra while Mr Pacey and Mr Toft carried out their duties of M.C.
The floor was packed to its capacity and several times during the evening well known hunting songs provided excellent dance music.

Symes (black), Cole (black), Somerville (pink floral), Nesbit (black), S. Symes (plush pink), Grogan (flame taffetta), Tayloi- (red taffetta). Misses M. Symes (checked taffeta), L. Grogan (White georgette), M. Leach (white net), M. Freeborn (sky blue silk), E : . Miller (green). Carmichael (green shot taffetta), D. McWatt (red print), M. Neil (blue and white taffetta), P. Hale (duck egg blue taffetta), H. Godley (rainbow taffetta), E. McWatt (blue print), I. Pendergrast (flame taffetta), M. Findlayson (sky blue taffetta), J. F'indlayson (floral pink organdie), P. Belcher (white organdie), B. Gardner (green cloak), A. Nation (white with blue spot muslin). F. Pearson (floral taffetta), B’. Cannell (mauve floral), A. R'unicaman (white hailstone muslin).
