COROMANDEL CEREMONIES PERFECT—NOTMAN BRIDE IN HYACINTH BLUE SUIT A quiet wedding took place at Christ Church, Coromandel, on Monday, April 29, when Dorothy June, only l daughter of Mr and Mrs A. J. Notrnan, of Coromandel, was married to George John Perfect, eldest sun of Mrs E. M. Lucas of Coromandel. The Rev. E. T. Leef performed the ceremony, and “I’ll Walk B'eside You” was played as the bride entered the church, the organist being Mbs E. M. Lucas. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a hyacinth blue suit, with navy hat and accessories and she carried a prayer book with a spray of pink roses. <Mrs J. Middleton attended the bride and Mi’ G. Perfect was' best man. The relatives present were later entertained at the home of the bride’s parents. RAE—-HART BRIDE IN EMBOSSED SATIN A very pretty wedding took place at the Catholic Church, Coromandel, on .Saturday, April 27, when Patricia Ellen, elder daughter of Mr and l Mrs W. Hart, of Coromandel, was married to .Frederick Charles, youngest son of Mr and Mrs W. Rae of Whakatane. The Rev. Father Fahy officiated and the wedding march was played by Mr Crabb. The bride, who entered the church on the- arm of her fathei' wore a beautiful trained dress of white embossed satin ,and her lovely tulle veil was held in place by a circlet of orange blossom and pearls. She carried a bouquet of white gladioli, earnations and chrysanthemums. The bridsmaid, M'iss Loma McD onold, wore a pretty frock of forget-me-not blue figured taffeta, and carried a bouquet of autumn tinted gladioli and chrysanthemum s. Little Margaret Hart, sister of the bride attended as flower girl and wore an ankle length frock of pale pink tulle with roses in her hair to match. Mr R. Moody, of Auckland, was best man. The reception was held in the St. George’s Hall supper robm, where over 60 guests were received by Mrs Hart wearing a blue suit with red accessories, and Mrs Rae wearing a blue suit and accessories. The tables were decorated with gold and whitfe chrysanthemums, and a lovely two-tiered cake graced the place of honour. . In the evening a dance was held in the St. (George’s Hall when a large number of guests and friends spent a very happy evening. HICKS—PEPPER BRIDE IN MAJGNOLIA SATIN The marriage of Miss Irene Gertrude Pepper, only daughter of Mrs and the late Mr T. Pepper, of Coromandel, to Mr Charles Cooper Hicks, younger son of the late Mr and Mrs Hicks, of Cambridge, took place at the Methodist Church, Coromandel on Saturday, April 27. The church was tastefully decorated by friends of the bride, with pink and l blue flowers with a large white bell hanging over the rostrum. The Rev. C. Aker performed the ceremony and the hymn “'0 Perfect Love” was sung; the organist being Mbs W. Pringle who also played the wedding march. The bride, who was given away by her brother M'r Ron Pepper, wore a graceful trained gown of magnolia satin, with a lovely tulle veil edged with lace and kept in place by a circlet of tiny flowers round the head. She carried a bouquet of pale pink shaded chrysanthemums. Attending as Matron of Honour was Mrs Jean McKenzie, who wore a dainty frock of blue georgette, with pintucks on the full sleeves and a full skirt. She carried a bouquet of of shaded pink carnations and chrysanthemums to match with the flowers in her hair. The best man was Mr B. Turner of Auckland. The reception was held at the Golconda Hotel, where over a 100 guests were received by Mrs Pep'per, wearing blue marocain with maroon hat and accessories, and Miss Hicks, aunt of the bridegroom, wearing a brown su'it trimmed with gold. The tables were decorated with pink and white flowers with a lovely three-tiered cake in the place of honour. The bride’s going away frock was pink beaded marocain.
