Public Notice. HAURAKI PLAIN’S COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICE OF INTENTION TO LEVY RATES PURSUANT to Section 54 of “The Rating Act 1925” NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that it is the intention of the Hauraki Plains County Council at its Ordinary Meeting to be held on the 12th. day of June, 1946, at the County Chambers at Ngatea at the hour of 10.30 a.m. to niake the following rates for the period commencing on the Ist. day of April, 1946, and ending on the 31st. day of March, 1947:— 1. Under the provisions of Section 120 of “The Counties Act, 1920” a General Rate of 4d. in the £ on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the County of Hauraki Plains. 2. Under the provisions of Section 127 of “The Counties Act 1920” the Special Rates as set out hereunder:— (a) Conversion Loan No. 1: 2d. in the £ on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the County of Hauraki Plains. (b) Conversion Loan No. 2: 3pd. in the £ on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Conversion Loan No. 2. .Special Rating Area. (c) Horahia Opou Drainage Loan: fd. in the £ on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Hora'hia Opou Special Rating Area. (d) East District Water Supply Loan: 2d. in the £on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the East- District Water Supply Special Rating Area. (e) Waitakaruru Drainage Loan: On Class “A” lands 2|d. in the £, on Class. “B” lands 2|d. in the £, on Class “C” Lands |d. in the £ on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Waitakaruru Drainage District Special Rating Area. The said rates to be due and payable to the Hauraki Plains County Treasurer on the Ist day of August, 1946. The Valuation Rolls for the County of Hauraki Plains are open for inspection during office hours at the County Chambers at Ngatea. In accordance with provisions of Section 2 (4) of the “Counties Amendment Act, 1931” the estimate of the proposed expenditure in the General Account of the Council showing the amount available, the additional sum required', the total rateable value and the general rate necessary, has been approved by the Council and may be inspected by ratepayers at the County Council Chambers at Ngatea during Office hours.
