HEAVY YARDING
- CATTLE AT KOPU SALE BEEF PEKOES REMAIN FTRM Messrs Dalgety and Co. report thfcit at their Kopu sale there was a very heavy yarding of cattle and a small entry of sheep and pigs. There was a full entry; of beef and included in the offering were some very well finished cows. (Prices for all beef were fully firm at late rates good cows selling from £9 to £ll/I'o/0, lighter cattle selling in proportion. Heavy works and boner cows were also sought at firm rates. Small 2th. ewesi realised 20/- and M.A ewes 16/-. They quote:—Reef: heavy, weH finished cows, £9 to_ £ll/10/0; medium light, good finish, £7/15/0 to £B/15/0; good finish, £771570 to £B/15/0; heavy works cows, £6/5/0 to £7/3/0r light works cows, £5 to £5/16/0;' heavy bone cows, £4 to £4/19/0; other bone cows, £2/10/0 to £3/18/0; medium weaner heifers, £3 to £3/5/0. Medium, porkers, £3/1270'; light porkers, £2/9/0 to £2/17/0; weaners, 10/0 to 14/0. . ‘
