FLOWERS ON DISPLAY

SHOW HELD AT NiGATEA FUND'S FOR REST ROOM Arranged in aid of the Ngatea Ladies’ Rest Room Fund, a flower show was held at the Ngatea Public Hall. From the point of view of the exhibits the show was very successful, but the attendance during the afternoon was disappointing, although the weather was fine. Especially deserving commendation were the exhibits in the children’s floral display. The entries were excellent and the efforts of the children were very' good'. Judges for the various classes were as follow: Floral, Miss Tizard; vegetables, Mr Dent; sewing, Mrs Sherlock; children’s, Miss Tizard; cooking, Mr .Miller. .Helpers in the tea-rooms were as follow: Mesdames Alach, Phelps, Misses N. Cole, P. Waugh. Stewards were: 'Flowers, Mesdames Flint, Williamson, McNaughton; cakes, Mesdames Speedy and Fisher; vegetables, Miss Laurence and Mrs Keyes; sewing, Mrs Cole.
