KITCHEN EVENING

WAITAKARIURU COUPLE Mi'SS M. FRENCH HONOURED The many friends of Miss Maisie French and Mr Neville Trye arranged a kitchen evening in the Waitakaruru Hall for them prior to their marriage. There was a splendid attendance and Paton’s Orchestra supplied the music for dancing. Following supper Mr A. McClean called the guests of honour forward and on behalf of all those present he asked them to accept the gifts from friends, and l in a cordial manner spoke of 1 the high regardi which Miss French and Mr Trye were held by all who knew them. He wished them a long and happy; life together. Following the opening of the many parcels Mr Trye expressed their sincere thanks for the kindness shown to the'm both. As Miss French had been of great assistance to the Plunket 'Society Committee at their sales luncheons, the secretary, Mts V. Gordon asked her to accept the present of a pair of lovely pictures with the best wishes of those whom- she had assisted for so long. Musical honours were accorded with enthusiasm.
