• MR W. J. MOORE’S WORK OHINEIMTJRI COUNTY COUNCIL The Ohinemuri County Council at its April meeting received a communi-
cation from Mi’ E. Pett, secretary fur the Paeroa Volunteer Fire Brigade advising of the impending retirement of Mr W. J. Moore, superintendent of the bridgade, after 50 years of voluntary fire fighting service. iCr. G. A. Avery said it would be a very 1 nice gesture on the part of the council to support the farewell arrangements and thus recognise the services to Paeroa over such a long period. iCr. G. H. Thompson said that he was pleased to support the making of 'a contribution to the farewell fund. A sum of W3/0 was voted to the presentation fund on the motion of Crs. Avery and' R. W. Lowry.
