Public Notice ANZAC D AY UNITED COMMEMORATION SERVICE APRIL 25th., 1946 i 11.45 p.m.— 1 PARADE to be assembled at Post Office Square under command of Lt.-Col. J. H. Bartlett. Returned Servicemen, Home Servicemen, Cadets, Cadets Air Training Corps, Fire Brigade, St. John Ambulance Corps, Girl Guides, Boy Scouts. Scholars of Paeroa District High School, Scholars of St. Joseph’s Convent School, Brownies and Cubs will be assembled at the Cenotaph. 2 p.m.— THE PARADE led by the Paeroa Municipal Band will leave the Post Office and proceed via Normanby Road through the Arney Street entrance to the Cenotaph. SALUTING BASE: His Worship the Mayor will take the salute as the Parade passes the Borough Council Chambers. 2.15 p.m.— PUBLIC COMMEMORATION at the Cenotaph:— “The National Anthem” led by the Paeroa Municipal Band. Floral tributes placed, in which all are invited to participate. Floral tributes placed on the Bradford Memorial by Veterans of the South African War. Hymn: “All People that on Earth do D’well.”

Prayer: Archdeacon W. G. H. Weadon. Scripture Lesson: Captain J. Sampson. Short Address: Lt.-Col. S. J. Hedge. Hymn: “Lead Kindly Light.” Benediction: 'Mr G. W. Moore. “Last Post” Band, E. Beilby. “One Minute’s Silence.” “Reveille” Band, E. Beilby. Collection Boxes will be placed at the top of the hill and at the entrance gate to receive donations in aid of the Returned Servicemen’s Association Relief Fund. Motor Cars must not park in the Domain, nor will they be allowed inside the g*ates after 2 p.m. Limited seating accommodation will 'be provided for elderly people. In the event of the weather being wet the Service will be held in the Regent Theatre and the Public will be invited to plate wreaths in front of the stage. EDWIN EDWARDS, Mayor.
