LANCASTER—POLAND CEREMONY AT ST. MARY’S BRIDE IN WHITE ORGANDIE St. Mary’s Church, Paeroa, was the scene of the wedding on Saturday, January 19, of Kerry Josephine Poland, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs J. J. Poland, of Junction road, Paeroa, and Ernest Thomly Lancaster, younger son of Mr and' Mrs F. Lancaster of Oltahuhu, Auckland. Rev. Father O'Meara performed the ceremony and Mrs John MicCormick was organist. The bride who was given away by her father looked sweet in a frock of white organdie fashioned with fitting circular pin-tucked bodice and wide circular „ skirt, heavily pin-tucked around the bottom. The veil of fine Brussels lace which belonged to the bride’s grandmother, Mrs H. Poland, was fastened to the head with a spray of orange blossom and she carried a bouquet of chiffon daisies and 1 gypsophilia. Attending the bride was her sister, Miss Lorna Doone Poland, who wore a frock of shell pink sprigged organdie fashioned on similar lines to that of the bride’s. Her fan-shaped bouquet was comprised of small cactus dahlias and asparagus. Mr Bill Lancaster assisted the bridegroom as best man. A reception was afterwards held at : “Moira,” Paeroa, the home of the bride’s grandmother, Mrs H. Poland, where the guests were received by Mrs J. J. Poland', assisted 1 by Mrs Lancaster, mother of the bridegroom. The bride’s mother wore a natural linen suit trimmed with dark brown stitching and hat and accessories to tone and she carried a posy of autumn tinted blooms. Mrs Lancaster was attired in a navy suit with hat to match and carried a posy of scarlet gerberas and, asparagus. The bride chose for . travelling a tailored suit of worsted tweed in tones of fawn and dark brown with accessories to tone and a small hat of old gold straw finished with a dark brown splash bow.
