HOMES INMATES
SOCIAL SECURITY PAYMENTS REVISION IN ALLOCATIONS A request from the Hospital Boards’ Association that the Thames Hospital Board would consider a revision in the allocation of Social Security payments to inmates of charitable institutions, was received by the board at its January meeting. The monthly allowance to homes Inmates is £8 13/4, from which it was suggested that the board deduct £5/12/6, pay £2/0/10 to the beneficiary, and put the remaining £1 into an accumulated fund to be paid out each Christmas or on the discharge of the inmate. The board agreed to the proposal, which was moved by the chairman, Mr J. W. Danby, and seconded by Mr j. W. Neate.
