GIRL GUIDE ASSOCIATION
THAMES-HAURAKI DIVISION
The third meeting of the ThamesHauraki Girl Guides Division’s Court of Honour was held at Te Aroha, The Divisional Commissioner, Miss Noble, presided. Verbal reports were given by the Guiders .present. Some very good work had been done for Unrra, many companies sending away complete chests of the supplies required.
Mrs Bowler of Manawaru was congratulated on receiving her District Commissioner’s warrant. Two Guides from Okoroire and one from Matamata were successful in the first-class examinations held in August. The next test will be held in Matamata on October 27.
The alterations in many proficiency badges were discussed; among these were several new badges, the Keep Fit, 'Stalker, Rescuer and the Empire Knowledge. It was agreed that each company or pack should pay a levy of sixpence per head toward the commissioner’s travelling expenses fund. An itinerary was arranged for the Provincial Commissioner’s tour of the division in October.
At the close of the meeting Miss Noble thanked Mrs Hancock for the u.se of her home.
