Doctors may differ regarding the harmlessness of tobacco, but the famous 'London physician, Sir Bruce Porter, entertains no doubt on the subject. “I know,” he says, ‘‘tobacco is an extreme comfort to a great many, and I wish more particularly to reassure old folk so that they may not be terrified from enjoying one of the few pleasures remaining to those of advanced years.
