STOCK SALE AT KOPU KEEN DEMAND FOR STORE PIGS Messrs Dalgety and Co., report that at their Kopu sale there was a good entry of all classes l of cattle and a medium entry of sheep and 'pigs Dairy cattle close to profit and of quality sold at fullyjate rates at from £l5 to £l6 ss. “ Beef was penned in average numbers, medium weight finished cows realising from £9 to £lO 4s; yearling dairy heifers met with a ready sale; medium size good quality cattle sold at £6 10 s to £7 10s. -Store and weaner pigs met a keen demand, small stores sold at £2 5s and weaners from £l r 12s to £2. iGood woolled medium ewe hoggets sold under stary competition to 28s 6d; ditto, wether hoggets, at 275”6d. They quote:—

Dairy, cattle.—Heifers, good close to profit, £l5 15s to £l6 ss; boner, heavy, to £6; good, more backward, £l2 10s to £l4; others, £3 5s to £4 17s; medium c.t.p., £lO to £lll5 s; yearling Jersey heifers-, plain, £7 to £8 18s; IBeef.—-Medium good finish, £9 to £lO 4s; mixed! colour yearling lighter, good finish, £7 18 to £8 12s 6d; 'heifers, £5 H6s to £6 10s; light, £6 to £6 15s<; young paddock cows, £5 to £5 17s 6d.

Pigs.—Stores, small, £2 ss; weaners, good, £1 Ils to £2 7s-; others-, £1 8s to £1 12 s; sows, £5 12& 6d to £6 10s.
