JAPAN MUST REPENT

“NO SOFT PEACE”

GOD’S COMMAND TO ALL J

(By

E.H.B.)'

The Japanese people have shown little sign of repenting of the crimes they have committed against humanity. Rather do they blandly make ex.cuses and self-pityingly regard themselves as a most misjudged nation, i But it is not to be expected that the Allies will tolerate any failure on the part of Japan to acknowledge her war guilt. As long as ‘she maintains} hoo| attitude of unrepentance, there c&S be no soft peace andi the longer ifi will be before she regains l her place in the trust and confidence of the free people of the world. Japan must repent and prove her repentance by her works. Before God, man stands in exactly the same relationship as Germany and! Japan do towards the Allied l Powers. Man is quilty of sin against God l . He - has flouted, rejected and disobeyed the laws and commandments of God 1 . By his continued denial of the Lord Jesus Christ as the Son of God, he has com- j mitted the worst of all sin and like the Axis Powers stand's' condemned by his own actions. “He that believeth not (on Christ) is condemned already,. because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” (Jon 3:18). But God is z “not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9). Hence He commands all men everywhere to repent—to turn from their wrong way of life to the new way of righteousness. In His love and desire to save you, reader, He sacrificed Jesus Christ, His Son so that through His death and resurrection, you could have everlasting life and forgiveness of sin. But you must repent. Yon must acknowledge your guilt before God and accept Christ as the only One Who can save you. This is l the only way you can escape the just punishment of hell. This is the only way you can gain the joys of heaven. Repent now.—P.B.A.
