decision of ohinemuri CHAIR OF GYNAECOLOGY Commendation was expressed, at the September meeting of the Ohinemuri County Council, of the objects of the organisation for establishing a chair in gynaecology in Auckland, but in reference to an application from the local centre, signed by Dr. F. L. Clark and Mr C. N. O’Neill as chairman and secretary respectively, for financial assistance for the project, the chairman, Or. T. A. Barrett, said the council’s policy in such mattersprecluded it from makings donation. Cr. G. A. Avery;- They are doing a good job alright. Other councillors described .the cause as a worthy one. The letter was received and it was decided to reply in terms of the chairman’s statement, while commending the movement to the generous supportof individual councillors. It was also decided that the council be officially represented at a meeting of the local centre to be held on September 24.
