SOCIAL NOTES
Mrs T. Wallbutton, of Torehape, has been spending a holiday in Wellington. Mirs R. Baxter, of Komata, is at present staying with her daughter, Mrs R. Hodgson, Kaihere. Mrs Arthur Walton, of Auckland, accompanied by her daughter, Miss Patricia Walton, dietitian of the Wellington Hospital, and son, Surgeon-Lieut.-Commander R. J. Walton, H.MjS. Achilles, were week-end visitors of Mr and Mrs Howard' Hare, of Paeroa.
Miss N. Abercrombie, assistant teacher at the Waitakaruru School, has been appointed to a similar position at the Morrinsville District High School. Miss Davies, of Kaihere, is acting as relieving teacher, until the vacancy has been filled. Mrs A. Bray of Auckland, spent a week-end recently as the guest of Mrs P. Richardson, Torehape. Mesdames A. Os'baldiston and Steele of Devonport, were guests at the Hauraki Hotel, Kerepeehi, during the week-end.
Mrs T. Hall and Miss J. Bartley of Devonport, spent last week-end with their parents, Mr and Mrs T. Bartley, Hauraki Hotel, Kerepeehi. Mrs George Green of Manawaru, Te Aroha, has returned to her home after a short visit to her parents, Mr and Mrs J. Thrupp, of Turua.
