THE GOD OF PEACE

THE WORLD’S GREAT NEED CHRIST O’UR PEACE *; I (Selected) Although the war has ended in vic-< tory for Allied arms, there still re- ■ mains the formidable task of “'winning the peace.” But we believe this world needs l something more than peace from, war. What we need' is the God of peace, and a right understanding of His ways. But men will never know God’s way of peace until they know God’s way of victory. The price of our world peace has been the awful price of the blood of our manhood on the battlefield in victory. The price of oui’ peace with God involves the blood of the everlasting covenant, the blood of God’s Son, in gaining the victory over death and hell upon Calvary more than nineteen hundred years ago. Sin is l the cause of the enmity which separates' man from God', and until sin is conquered, there can be no peace. Satan like a roaring lion is loose in this' world, but Christ went all the way to death in order to assure everlasting peace to' the sinner. Then He came forth again from the dead victorious over hell and death and’ sin, through the blood' of the everlasting covenant. This is God’s Peace , Treaty for the sinnner. The terms are simple. There is no cost whatever for man. It is a gift to be appropriated by faith, but it cost God something, even His l Own .Son, and, the vilest thing man can do is to spurn His offer of peace. Reader, have you made your peace with God? Have you accepted His terms by acknowledging yourself as a sinner and in unconditional surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ, received Him as your Saviour? Do this., as you read these lines and you will know the joy of sins forgiven and a heart at peace with your maker. P.B.A.
