TABLE TENNIS- CLUB

MATCHES WITH WAIHI A very enjoyable evening was spent last Thursday in Waihi when the Waihi Town Table Tennis Club invited the (Paeroa Club to send a team over to play. Competition was keen .and a number of closely-contested matches resulted which were very ini teresting both to onlookers and play<ers. An excellent supper was provided by the lady members of the Waihi Club. Though iPaeroa won a substantial majority of the games they did not by any means have things all their own way and the scores were very even in many games. Twelve players from Paeroa were matched against twelve members of the Waihi Club' in A, B and C grades with the following results:— Singles.—A grade: (Paeroa 8, beat Waihi 6. B grade: Paeroa 12, beat Waihi 2. C grade: Paeroa 13,. beat Waihi 1. Doubles. —A grade: Paeroa 1 lost to Waihi 3. B grade: Paeroa 2, drew with Waihi 2. C grade: Paeroa 4, beat Waihi nil.
