SNOOKER TOURNEY
O’LOUGHLIN UNDEFEATED EXHIBITION GAME BY STOUT Section play in the Thames Valley snooker championship was continued on Monday evening, which saw the elimination of two prominent players in C. Smith, of M'atamata, South Auckland champion, and I Stewart, of Morrinsville, who was greatly fancied by Morrinsville enthusiasts. Stewart was beaten by H. Smith, brother of the Sbuth Auckland champion. A feature of the evening was a series of exhibition games between C. Mounsey, of Te Awamutu, and L. Stout of Paeroa, -who showed just how the balls should be potted, and l gave great examples of positional play. The former won his first game easily but ’Stout got on to his game subsequently. In Monday evening’s play, W. O’Loughlin (Paeroa), beat Hall of Matamata and B. Sarsfield' (Paeroa), beat C. Smith of M'atamata. L. Stout ('Paeroa), defaulted to On Tuesday evening O’Laughlin won by default from' H. Crosbie of Morrinsville and Sarsfield lost to iMumm.
