KITCHEN EVENING

FUNCTION IN KEREPEEHI MISS I. LORD & MR H. DAWSON There was a good attendance at a kitchen evening organised by the Kerepeehi Youth Club in honour of Miss Inez Lord 1 and' Mr H. Dawson and held' in the Kerepeehi Hall on Thursday evening, 'September 6. Music was supplied by Mrs A. P. Innis and Messrs C. Harvey and B. Benney. Extras were played by Miss. J. Hayes. Mr IC. Harvey, president of the Kerepeehi Youth Club, asked ‘lnez and Harry to come forward and open the parcels and in doing so, wished them the best of luck and happiness on behalf of the members and local residents. Miss S. Harvey, president of the Kerepeehi Backetball Club presented' Inez with a gift from the Club and wished her every happiness. Mr Dawson thanked the youth and basketball clubs and- residents for the numerous gifts and pleasant evening extended in his and Inez’s, honour and stated that the gifts would always remind them of Kerepeehi. Musical honours were then accorded. Winners- of the Monte Carlo waltz were Miss I. Hayes and partner. Among those present were:— Mesdames T. Lord, Dawson (Hamilton), .S. Radford (Waharoa), L.
