REGIONAL PLANNING
FARMERS’ REPRESENTATION
COUNCIL OPINION
Whether members had a represen--tative on the Regional Planning Coun'Cil was asked by Mr C. Walker, Department of Agriculture,, at a meeting of the Thames District Council of Primary Production. Mr Walker said that in view of the proposals to investigate the develop--ment of the whole district he should ■say that the organisation would want • a body such as this invited. There was no farmers’ representative at the first meeting, said the president, Mr S. E. Hall. Mr Walker said a number of farmers were, however, present. On an organisation such as this representation should start at the beginning. However, after further discussion, uo decision was made about taking .any action to secure representation.
