Mr W. G. Nield of Invercargill, is visiting his parents, Mr and' Mrs J. Nield, Corbett street, Paeroa. Mr IN. King of Auckland, is at present visiting Paeroa. Mr M. Cunningham of (Masterton is visiting Mr and Mrs W. H. Groube, Komata.
A resolution of sympathy with Mr J. Thorn, M.P., in the death of his brother was passed at the meeting of the Thames' District Council of Primary Production. Appreciation of the services of Mr R. Baker, of Paeroa, a committeeman who has retired) from farming, was expressed at the meeting of the Thames District Council 1 of Primary Production. It was decided; to send him a letter of thanks. The manner in which Mr G. E. Blake, newly appointed secretary!, handled business at the meeting of the Thames District Council of Primary. Production was the subject of congratulatory remarks from the chairman, Mr S. E. Hall. L.A.C. N. D. Bishop who' has recently returned from the Pacific is visiting Mr and Mrs J. K. Dean, Komata. A.C.2. R. G. Elvidge is spending leave with his parents, (Mr and Mrs G. Elvidge, Thames road, Paeroa. iPetty-Officer E. N. Grouibe, R.N.ZjN. is visiting his parents, Mr and Mrs W. H. Groube, Komata. Messrs J. Deacon iSnr., of Kopuarahi and J. Deacon Jnr., of Turua, recently spent a week at Great Barrier Island, the latter proceeding to DargaviUe.
