TRIBUTE PAID
MR WILLIAM HUIA TAYLOR SERVICE TO THE' BOROUGH A' tribute to the late Mr William Huia Taylor was paid by His Worship the Mayor, Mr Edwin Edwards, at the December meeting of the Paeroa Borough Council. Mr Taylor, said the Mayor, had been one of the inaugural members of the Paeroa Borough Council and had served on it for nine years and for a period was deputy-Mayor. He had given wonderful service to the town and had given his assistance to most local organisations in the town.
Expressing- regret at Mr Taylor’s death, the Mayor said that Mr Taylor’s long, useful and happy life had provided an example for all. A resolution of sympathy with the relatives was passed, by the council standing in silence, the town clerk, Mr R. S. Nicol being instructed to place on. record the council’s appreciation of the long and faithful service rendered.
