CARD EVENING
WAITAKARURU EVENING FUNDS FOR THE HALL During the winter, card evenings have proved very popular in Waitakaruru and have been conducted on alternate. weeks. Another of the series of evenings, held last week, was largely attended. Mrs A. McClean was in charge of the 500 tournament, and supper was served by members of the local Church of England committee. An enjoyable evening was spent, the winners being Miss Jean Jesen and Mr T. Billing.
The funds derived will be used l to assist in defraying the expenses of the hal] and for necessary improvements.
