Pea-Picking Championship
The first New Zealand championship to be established for competition by seasonal harvest workers is to be instituted in the Nelson district this year by the holding of a pea-picking competition, entries for which are being invited from all parts of the Dominion. The Waimea Vegetable Growers’ Association 'has decided to offer £45 prize-money, with £25 and a cup for the winner. The competition will be held in a Waimea Plain farm in | mid-December.
