FULL YARDING
GOOD SALE AT KOPU STORE/ PUGS WANTED Messrs Dalgety and Co., report that there was a full, yarding of dairy cattle at their Kopu sale on Tuesday last and this met a steady demand, cattle showing forward meeting a ready sale with backwards sorts meeting a fair demand. Good cows. sold from £lO 5s to £l2 15s, medium heifers from £lO to £ll 15s. Twenty head of heavy beef was penned and they sold steadily at late rates. Weaner pigs were sought and sold from '2ss to 3 ! 25, whilst stores also advanced. in price under a keen demand. The advertised ewe hoggets were sold under keen competition realising 25s Id. They quote:— Good dairy cows, c.t.p., £l'o 5s to £l2 ss, medium, £7 16s to £8 15s; .medium heifers, £lO to £ll l'ss; more backward, £8 l’Os to £9 10s; small and poor, £6 5s to £7 10s; empty 2-year heifers, £4 5s to £4 15s; mixed coloured calves, £3 10's; medium beef cows, £6 5s Od to £7 15s; light cows, £5 to £5 10's; boner cows, £2 11s to £4 'Bs; good Romney ewe hoggets, 25s Id.
Medium store pigs, £2 16s; small store pigs, £2 Is; good weaner pigs, 325; medium weaner pigs, 28s.
