Electoral COUNTY' QF JJAURAKI PLAINS NOTICE OF ELECTION OF COUNCILLORS. Pursuant to Section 12 of the Local Elections and Polls Act, 1925, I hereby , give notice that the following persons have been duly nominated as candidates for the office of Councillors for the several Ridings of the County of Hauraki- Plains as set out hereunder: — Kopuarahi Riding: HALE, William Edward HILL, Edward Blackburn Kerepeehi Riding: McMILLAN, Donald Gordon. TYE, Leonard Ngatea Riding: BURKE, Robert Charles DAVIS, Archibald George NEATE, John William Pipiroa Riding: McCLEAN, Alexander Henry PARFITT, Charles Walter And there being only one (1) vacancy to be filled in each of the said Ridings, a poll will be taken as between the said candidates on Saturday the twentyseventh day of May, 1944, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the following Polling places:— For Kopuarahi Riding.—Kopuarahi School. For Kerepeehi Riding.—Kerepeehi Hall. For Ngatea Riding.—Ngatea Hall and Kaihere Pavilion. For Pipiroa Riding.—Mr A. McAulay’s residence. Dated at Ngatea this 13th. day of May, 1944. E. A. HAURAKI U NITED DRAINAGE BOARD ELECTION QF TRUSTEES Pursuant to Sections 11 and 12 of the Local' Elections and Polls Act 1925, and Amendments thereto, I hereby give notice that the following persons have been duly nominated as Candidates for the Office of Trustees for the undermentioned Subdivisions of the Hauraki United Drainage District: — Northern Subdivision: GREEN, Roy Francis HILL, Edward Blackbum Central North Subdivision: MADGWICK, Robert Bartie SCHULTZ, Charles William Central South Subdivision: ALACH, Nicholas FOX, Charles Keith TYE, Rufus Edward Southern Subdivision: PEARCE, Percy George. As the number of Candidates for the Northern, Central North and Southern Subdivisions does not exceed the number required, I therefore declare the said Roy Francis Green and Edward Blackburn Hill, Northern Subdivision and Robert Bartie Madgwick and Charles William Schultz, Central North Subdivision and Percy George Pearce Southern Subdivision to be duly elected Trustees for the respective Subdivisions. And there being only two vacancies to be filled in the Central South Subdivision, I hereby give notice that a Poll will be taken as between the said Candidates on Saturday, the 27th. day of May, 1944, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the following Polling places:— Hauraki United Drainage Board Office, Dairy Company Premises, Turua.
