Borough Council Meets The monthly meeting of the Paeroa Borough Council was held in the Council Chambers, Paeroa, on Thursday night, His Worship the Mayor, Mr Edwin Edwards presiding. Others present were Crs. W. Smith, D.-G. McMillan, E. S. Moore, J. Walmsley, F. Sparks, B. Gwilliam, C. C. Webb, H. M. Shand and the acting-town clerk, Mr A. A. Jenkinson. Mayor’s Relief Fund A cheque for £5, part of the profits of the “Lucky New Year” art union, a donation to the Mayor’s Relief Fund was received from the Minister of Internal Affairs at Thursday night’s meeting of the Paeroa Borough Council. Borough Accounts Accounts to a total value of £5955 9s lid, were passed for payment at the May meeting of the Paeroa Borough Council. Work of Traffic Inspector Appreciation to Traffic Inspector R. B. Doggett for'the work he had done in the borough during the term he was stationed in Paeroa was expressed at the May meeting of the Paeroa Borough Council, the opinion being expressed that he had achieved results without being unduly harsh.
