OPEN SPORTS

ATHLETICS ON DOMAIN FIXTURE FOR SATURDAY SPECIAL INVITATION RACE Leading Waikato and Auckland as well as local athletes will be seen in action on the Paeroa Domain on Saturday when the Paeroa Harriei’ Club will hold its first open sports meeting. The programme which includes running, jumping and cycling events will open at 1.30 p.m. sharp and from the large entries received some veryinteresting sport should be seen. A loud-speaker system will operate on the ground so that the general public can follow all events with interest. A special feature on the day will be a special 220yds. hurdles invitation race in which G. Vuglar of Paeroa, the Waikato champion, will meet A. Cooper, the Auckland champion.
