ODDFELLOWS MEET
LOYAL HAURAKI LODGE NEW MEMBER INITIATED The usual fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Hauraki Lodge was held, in the Lodge Room, Coromandel, on Monday, March 13, the N.G., Sis. Keyte presiding over a good attendance of members. One new member was initiated andi the honours of the Order conferred on her. The secretary gave a brief report on the annual conference held recently in Auckland at which she was the lodge’s delegate. A vote of thanks by acclamation was accorded Sister Lucas for the able manner in which she reported! on the conference. The sick visitors’ reports proved satisfactory and several apologies for absence were received. After the lodge prayer was read the meeting closed’, supper was served and a happy time spent round the table. - Staff-Sgt. K. Keen, U.S. Forces, was accorded a hearty welcome to the social part of the evening. Dancing and games took place till midnight.
