HARVEST FESTIVALS
COROMANDEL METHODISTS j LARGE ARRAY OF PRODUCE r I The Coromandel Methodist Church 1 I held their annual harvest festival services on Sunday, March 12. The church was artistically decorated and looked very lovely. A splendid array ’ of flowers,, fruit and vegetables was I in evidence. ! At the morning service a soprano | solo, “Who Could It Be But Jesus,” i was rendered by Mrs Whitten and ( special Harvest hymns were augmented by a full choir, 1 In the evening the anthem, “Sing ; To The Lord of Harvest” was sung I by the choir, Mr Pringle (bass) being I the soloist. ! Rev. C. Aker-conducted both services when good congregations were present. A sale of produce, etc., was held on Monday evening, proceeds being in aid of church funds.
PRESBYTERIAN FESTIVAL ‘ MARVELLOUS DISPLAY The Coromandel Presbyterian Church held their harvest festival services on Sunday, March 19 when a marvellous display of flowers, fruit, produce and bread was tastefully arranged. The church was beautifully decorated on this occasion.
There were special harvest hymns when large congregations took part both morning and evening. Rev. H. A. Moore conducted the services.
On Monday morning a sale of the produce was held, the proceeds being in aid of church funds.
