GIFTS FROM WAITAKARURU PILOT-OFFICER T. WYLIE A well-knowri past resident of Waitakaruru, Mrs Alec Wylie, recently in forwarding a donation to the Waitakaruru Soldiers’ Parcels Committee said she was pleased to he able to say that her son Tom had receivel all parcels sent to him and she as well as he were most grateful to the residents 1 of Waitakaruru and Mangatarata, for their kindness.
It will be a matter of interest to the many friends of Tom, to learn that he has quite recently received a commission in the Air Force. He left New Zealand two years ago as a Sergeant Pilot, and has seen much service from bases in Britain.
For a quick pudding dissolve 11b. gingernut biscuits in a pint of heated milk with a pinch of butter added; turn into a disb and cook in a hot oven for only 10 minutes. Vesy tasty.
