NO CHANGE IN RIDINGS
HAURAKI PLAINS COUNTY DECISION OF THE COUNCIL In accordance with a section of the Counties’ Act, the«Hauraki Plains County Council held a special meeting prior to its regular meeting, at Ngatea on Wednesday September 8. After the reading of the section by the clerk, Cr. F. Pinchess expressed the opinion that the riding representation could be cut down to about five councillors, instead of nine doing a lot of talk.
“Is there any limit to the number required?” asked Cr. A. H. Sutton. “Yes,” replied Cr. C. W. Schultz, “the chairman and deputy-chairman?” (Laughter). :
