IT IS TO-MORROW

HOUSE-TO-HOUSE DRIVE OLD PAPER AND RUBBER PAEROA BOROUGH COLLECTION To-morrow members of the Paeroa-Hauraki R.S.A. together with a number of boys will be calling on every house in Paeroa to collect waste paper and rubber for the Dominion’s war effort. Have you got your material ready for them? The drive will commence at 9 a.m. from the borough boundary on Thames road and an appeal is made to every householder to have all the paper and rubber available ready when the collector calls, if possible at the front gate either in sacks or tied up in parcels. Waste paper of all kinds, old magazines, newspapers, cardboard cartons, cardboard, strawboard, telephone lists, account books and shop and office stationery are all wanted but greaseproof, cellophane and tarred paper and any other kind that will not pulp is of no use. Old rubber which should be available will include worn-out rubber shoes, shoes with crepe soles (soles only wanted), goloshes, rubber tubing and garden hose, bathing caps, rubber preserving jar rings, hot-water bottles, rubber gloves, motor tyres and anything else made of rubber. Old sacks are also wanted for bagging the waste at the depot. Remember this waste material is urgently wanted as part of the Dominion’s war effort so do your bit and have all the material possible at your front gate to-morrow.
