SUCCESSFUL DANCE
PAEROA NATIONAL PARTY AN ENJOYABLE EVENING The Paeroa Ladies’ Branch of the New Zealand National Party held a dance in the Parish Hall on Monday evening last when there was a good attendance. Music for dancing was provided by Bandsman George Vercoe at the piano while Mr E. Kahn assisted with the violin. ‘Miss Rita Smith obliged with extras. Mr W. Pirie made a capable M.C. and kept the evening going with a swing. Mr and Mrs Beveridge and Miss M. Morgan and Mr M. O’Neill tied in the statue dance while the winners of other novelty dances were Miss M. Morgan and Mr G. Masters, Miss R. Smith and Mr R. Jennings and Mr and Mrs C. A. Pryor. A savoury supper was provided by the ladies’ committee and dancing continued until a late hour.
