PAEROA WEDDING

ST. ANDREW’S CEREMONY COLDICUTT—GUNN BRIDE IN IVORY SILK VELVET The marriage* took place recently at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Paeroa, of Miss Valerie Alice Gunn, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs W. E. Gunn, of Paeroa, and Mr Stuart i Coldicutt, third son of Mr and Mrs B. J. Coldicutt of Netherton. The bride who entered the church on the arm of her father wo'*e a graceful frock of ivory silk velvet cut on slender lines. The close-fitting bodice was designed in front with a long centre panel while the back was finished with tiny buttons which extended to the waistline and from which fell the full sweeping train. Her embroidered tulle veil was held in place by a halo of orange blossom and she carried a sheaf of white roses and chrysanthemums. Attending the bride was her niece Miss Patricia Jesney of Waikino who wore a lagoon green taffeta frock with short puff sleeves, fitting bodice and heart-shaped neckline while the gored skirt fell softly to a full hemline. Her bouquet was of pink roses, chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. Mr Albert Coldicutt attended his I brother as best man. I Rev. F. Gunn of Te Awamutu, I cousin of the bride, performed the I marriage ceremony while Mr W. J. ; Forrest of Auckland presided at the 1 organ. During the signing of the | register Mrs J. Stevenson rendered the sulo “I’ll Walk Beside You." At the Parish Hall where the reception was afterwards held Mrs Gunn, , mother of the bride received her 1 guests wearing a black ensemble with black hat and accessories and shoulder spray of autumn toned chrysanthemums. She was assisted by the I i bridegroom’s mother who wore a navy frock and coat with matching accessories and a shoulder spray of Ice(land poppies. | The bride chose for travelling a powder blue frock with navy accessories.
