PRESENTATIONS MADE
FIVE SOLDIERS HONOURED FAREWELL AT KEREPEEHI Opportunity was taken by the Kerepeehi Patriotic Committee to tender a public farewell to Sgt. B. Smith, Corporal A. Murray and Ptes. Joe Smith, S. Te Whata and L. Fisher afc the Kerepeehi Basketball Club’s ball held in the Kerepeehi Hall last Thursday evening. 1 Mr P. G. -Pearce on behalf of the residents presented the guests of honour with a cheque and wished them a speedy return. He said he hoped that it would not be long before al! were gathered together to welcome them home again. In the absence of Opt A. Murray and Pte. J. Smith, Mr Pearoe asked Mr Murray and Mr Smith to eome foeward and accept a cheque each for their sons. Each boy precent replied aa& thanked all for coming along and giving them tin opportunity to say famwell. '■ ' >' '
