FAREWELL TO NURSE

SISTER F. ROACHE HONOURED FUNCTION AT NETHERTON A dance was held in the Netherton Hall on .Saturday night last to bid farewell to Sister Frances Roache who is leaving shortly for service overseas. Music was supplied by Miss Sarjant while Mrs R. Fisher obliged with extras. After a delicious supper had been served, Mr J. A. Reid, on behalf of the Netherton residents, presented. Sister Roache with a leather writing set, expressing all best wishes from the residents. Mrs R. Wilson, on 'behalf of the W.W.S.A., presented the guest of the evening with a “V for Victory bouquet and wished her luck. Mr Roache replied on behalf of his daughter. , Card prizes were won as follows. — Ladies: Mrs W. Richmond. Men: Mr W. Richmond. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Mr and Mrs R- Fishel. f A most enjoyable evening was brought to a close with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne” and “God Save the King.”
