A RELIGIOUS THOUGHT
THE RISEN SAVIOUR The Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, for which the evidence of the Gospel narratives will bear the keenest scrutiny of unprejudiced minds, ceases to be improbable if the records of His life and ministry are accepted. Granted the powers ascribed to Him, the mighty works He accomplished—including miracles both of spiritual and physical healing—the power to rise again is not out of harmony with the rest of His career. And the world-wide moral and spiritual reinforcing fruits of belief in the Resurrection, the evidence of a moral and spiritual life-power in the Redeemer capable of overcoming death itself, are incredible on the assumption that it is merely a myth of the pious imagination.
