COROMANDEL SCHOOL
MEETING OF THE COMMITTEE PURCHASE OF A PROJECTOR There was only a small volume of business to be dealt with at the last meeting of the Coromandel School Committee which was presided over by the chairman, Mr E. W. Gilliver. Under the heading of correspondence, the bulk of it dealt with the purchase of a projector, which had •been tested and found quite satisfactory. Application is to be made for a regular supply of films from the film library, to be supplemented drawing upon such other sources as have them available.
The secretary, Mr C. Aker, reported that the accounts had come to hand from the auditor, and one account on which a refund was claimed was only partially met. It was decided to write a letter fully explaining the position to have the balance remitted.
It was reported that Mrs Barker’ had. relinquished her duties and that Mrs Macdonald was filling the position pending the filling of the position.
The night of meeting was provisionally fixed for the second Monday of the month, though it might be necessary to move it at times to suit circumstances. ■Mr H .S. Denize donated a lamb to be disposed of in such a way as the committee thought fit, the proceeds to go towards the projector fund. This was received with thanks, and ways and means of its disposal were discussed.
