KEREPEEHI FAREWELL

MISS D. BOOTH HONOURED BASKETBALL CLUB FUNCTION The basketball girls of Kerepeehi tendered a farewell evening, to Miss iD. Booth who is leaving the district shortly as she has" joined the Army. Miss Booth is well known in the district and has been prominent in tennis and other sports. She was a Sunday school teacher of the Anglican Sunday School’ Kerepeehi. In presenting Miss Booth with a paii’ of vases Miss Clark, the president of the Kerepeehi Basketball Club extended the good wishes of f those present to her in her new venture. * In thanking the Basketball Club and those present, Miss Booth said she hoped her entry into the Army would be as pleasant as the happy; farewell the girls had tendered for her benefit.

Dancing and games occupied the evening and a pleasant time was en-

joyed by everyone. Mrs P. Innis supplied .the music which was greatly appreciated. Supper was served and the evening closed with the singing of “ Auld Lang Syne” and “God Save the King.”
