HAVE YOU EVER TRIED THIS? Savory Vegetables.—Boil 2 tablespoons of rice and mix with any quantity of mixed meat, t&en Ibaat 3 eggs and add 2 cups milk, any cold vegetables and pepper, salt and currypowder to taste. .Mix all well together, place in a greased pie-dish and cook in slow oven just to set. Nice hot or cold. 'Potato Puffs.—Mix mashed potatoes to a paste with 1 or 2 eggs, roll it with a dusting of flour and cut v round with a saucer. Have ready some chopped cold roast meat, season with pepper, salt and add pickles cut* up finely. Place on potato, fold it over, pinch round and bake in a moderate oven for a few minutes. Meat Savory.—Two pounds of cold cooked mutton, 2oz macaroni, 4 large tomatoes. Put meat through minc- ■ ing machine and boil macaroni. Put into pie-dish in layers, add tomatc 1 last (cut in thin slices), pepper and I salt. Pour over all a cup of good I gravy and bake J hour in moderate
