SHOP RENTS DECLINE
MANY ARE NOW VACANT

While rents for fiats and suburban homes have reached a new high level, there has been a slump in rents obtained for Christchurch city shops. One shop in a good business centre was let for £l2 10s a week, plus rates and insurance, but when it became vacant a tenant could not be found.at a rent of £8 10s, plus rates and insurance.
Throughout the city many- small shops are now vacant. |
