£15.300 PAID FOR HAT
U.S.A. WAR BOND AUCTION WORN BY GREER GARSON The highest price ever paid for a woman’s hat, £15,300, was given at a war bond auction to-day. The bat was worn by Greer Garson in her new film, “Mrs Miniver.” In the film, Greer Garson confesses to having purchased the hat after her husband reveals that he- has bought a new car. “Mrs Miniver,” from the novel by Jan Struther, was completed recently. As a play it has had a record run at Radio City Music Hall, New Yonc, where it has been seen by 1,500,000 a view to an employer obtaining the services of one of his men now m camp, for a period as recommended in any respective case.
