REST ROOM FUNDS
AFTERNOON HELD AT NGATEA
MRS E. J. THOMAS ENTERTAINS
An afternoon in aid of the Ngatea Rest Room was held at the residence of Mrs E. J. Thomas and proved most satisfactory. Cards, competitions and “bring and buy” were the order of the day.
The selling of the goods took an unusual form for an afternoon function, the articles being auctioned. Mrs A. G. Sherlock acted as auctioneer and Mrs F. E. Hammond as clerk.
The proceeds amounted to more than £4.
Winners of the flag 500 were Mesdames Hammond, H. E. Cole, M. Grbich and Mrs F. Speedy, and the competition winners were Mesdames Ward and Flint. ■ Afternoon tea was served.
