THEY ARE EXEMPT
WOMEN WITH CHILDREN
NOT REQUIRED TO REGISTER
“ Married women, aged 24 to 30 years inclusive, with children, whose domestic responsibilities include the care of their children are exempt from the liability to register,” stated the District Manpower Officer, Mr R. W. Chappell, to a Gazette representative to-day.
From enquiries which have reached the Gazette Office it seems that some married women* have not understood the regulations, it being thought that all women in the age group had .to register but that married women with children would not be called. Mr Chappell told the Gazette that this was not correct and as stated above, married Y omen with the responsibilities of the care of children are not required to register.
