“The Other Fellow’s Wife”
An insight into the trials and tribulations of a 'fireman’s life was given at Thames on Saturday night by Superintendent W. (“Shorty”) Moore, of Paeroa, in the course of a witty speech in the Fire social hall. If a fireman is walking down the street with his best girl or his wife (A voice: “Or the other fellow’s wife”) he must 'drop’ her if the siren sounds and run to the station, declared Mr Moore, amidst laughtel*.
