MANY DEFINITE' SIGNS COME COME INTO PROFIT NOW The approach of spring is now evident everywhere. The fresh green appearance of pastures and lawns, the increasing numbers of young calves herded into railway trucks which pass through Paeroa daily, the newly-born lambs frolicking in the paddocks, and the recent growth of garden plants, are all definite signs. With the year’s shortest day passed eight weeks ago, the days are becoming perceptibly longer, and the sun is getting warmer. For Paeroa men and women on the land and private gardeners, activity is greatly increasing, M?any cows are now coming into profit, and once again the early commencement of milking is necessary. The prospects for improved dairy yields and heavy crops are excellent because of the unusually mild winter now almost over.
