Heavy Colds Prevalent Influenza and heavy colds have taken severe hold on the people of Coromandel, several of whom have been confined to bed for some days. Much Time Wasted. “I have been a member of as many local bodies as anyone in this country, and I think a great deal of time is wasted by them,” said Mr E. J. Mr Phelan suggested that a witness, who said he was a member of several ' local bodies, should urge for the reduction in the number of meetings in order to save tyres. Anglican Church Service. ' On Sunday, August 9, Holy • Communion and Evensong Services were held at the Coromandel Anglican Church when the Rev. K. R. R. Small, 'vicar of Thames, officiated. There were good congregations. The Rev. Small’s addresses proved enlightening and interesting. Appreciation was expressed at having a vicar to conduct the services after having held morning services for so long without any vicar to officiate.
